June 2026 was a positive month for both equity and bond investors. Over the first half of 2026, investors in Asian equities and emerging markets, in particular, achieved high returns. Bonds and listed real estate were less in favor during the first half of 2026.
Equity investors generally enjoyed a strong month in June, with the MSCI World Index posting a monthly return of +1.4%. Regional monthly returns ranged from +0.8% for emerging market equities to +3% for European equities. US and Asian stock markets performed reasonably well, with monthly returns of +1.3% and +1.1% respectively, though they lagged behind European equities.
