Welcoming the a.s.r. Structured Fixed Income team

As of 1 April a.s.r. vermogensbeheer has a new team for structured credit and loans: Structured Fixed Income. They will focus primarily on investment grade (private) debt instruments. These instruments have an attractive risk/return profile and relatively limited market value volatility in adverse market conditions.

For institutional investors, such as insurance companies and pension funds, these instruments enable an illiquidity premium and the optimisation of returns on required capital as well as diversification with more traditional fixed income instruments. Further, the focus will be on investments with a clear ESG profile, including impact investments. The team will work on propositions in which not only the a.s.r. insurance company, but also other insurance companies, pension funds and donor-advised funds can participate. The team, originally from Actiam, consists of Bas Kragten, Jules Koekkoek, Remco van Amelsfoort and Vincent Kroes.
