Market update July '23: summer on the stock exchange?

After a lackluster July, stock markets staged a recovery in August, with the exception of listed real estate. Meanwhile, capital market interest rates continued to rise.

June 2026 was a positive month for both equity and bond investors. Over the first half of 2026, investors in Asian equities and emerging markets, in particular, achieved high returns.

For the time being, there seems to be no end in sight for the war in the Middle East. The Strait of Hormuz is still closed and oil prices are still high. Nevertheless, last month was actually quite good for stocks.
